INGRID PITT: SLAYMATE OF THE MONTH JANUARY, 2011
The first ever HORROR HOTTIE SLAYMATE OF THE MONTH has been chosen. It was not a difficult decision. Last year, the horror film fan community lost one of its most beloved idols. Ingrid Pitt passed away on 23 NOVEMBER 2010. Her amazing life, as well as her pioneering role as a lesbian vampire in Hammer Films' THE VAMPIRE LOVERS broke the mold of the traditional characterization for the female vampire.
Miss Pitt was never afraid to show any cleavage or skin for the camera, which, in part, was a contributing factore to her success. However, her Polish ancestry graced her with a classic European beauty that made revealing publicity shots really unnecessary. But who's complaining, right?
The "SLAYMATE OF THE MONTH" award is dedicated to the late Calvin T. Beck, who also thought Ingrid Pitt more than worthy to be included as a poster girl in his classic monster magazine, CASTLE OF FRANKENSTEIN.
